What can I put in my the rag 'n' phone man collection?
Good quality (i.e. not torn or damaged) adult's and children's clothes, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. We also offer cash for mobile phones and cash for books, but these need to be packed separately - see below.
Do I put my mobile phone in the bag?
No – keep this separate for independent valuation
Do you offer cash for books?
Yes - we offer money for books and DVDs - £0.05 per kg. Please pack these separately from your clothes.
Do you collect duvet covers and sheets?
Yes, please bag separately as we can only pay 10p/kg no more than 2bags per household.
Do you take carpets and rugs?
No.
Do you accept bric-a-brac?
No - we can only offer cash for books / DVDs, mobile phones and textiles.
Do you accept coats?
Yes, these are acceptable.
Do the clothes need to be washed and ironed?
Yes please - and also make sure they are dry and free from mildew.
When do I get paid?
On your doorstep.
How will I know how much I will be paid?
Our collectors bring electronic scales to your door.
Does each bag have to weigh 10 kg?
No - the weight of all the bags are totalled and we pay accordingly.
Can I schedule a collection for a date that suits me?
Certainly - just call / text / email and we will arrange a convenient day. To arrange a booking we require the following details: full address of collection including postcode and a contact number.
How do I donate my proceeds to charity?
Check out section "Charitable giving" to see how you can gift aid your cash for clothes payment.
How many times can I organise the rag 'n' phone man collection?
As many times as you want.
How much do I need before I can request a collection?
We take from one bag upwards - obviously the more you weigh, the more we pay!
